Located in the center of the Cyclades Archipelago (Greece, Aegean Sea), Mykonos Island is one of the largest islands in the archipelago. The island’s principal town (Chora) was named after the island itself, following a Greek tradition. There is a strong tourism industry in the area. Santorini is the most popular island destination in the Cyclades, but Mykonos is second. There are windmills in white color, blue cube houses, and narrow curving streets as tourist attractions in this town. Several windmills are in operation around the island, but the majority are in Chora. A hill overlooking the sea features a row of Kato Mili (lower mills).
